The following is a letter from Mike Kindree, who came and spent several months with us this past year.

Greetings!  Hope all is well with everyone.

Firstly, we would like to send a great big thank you to all of you who purchased or sold calendars and supported us in helping the children here at Casa del Aguila. Also thanks so much to those who donated used camping equipment and also new and used clothing and to our St. Thomas Church women for the donation of the new swimsuits.  The kids want to say a huge “muchas gracias” to each and everyone of you!

We were able to purchase 20 bicycles in Cuzco along with spare parts and tools/tool kit.  We also purchased sleeping bags, packsacks and camping mats.  The kids are having a ball and are learning some valuable skills along the way!!  Many of the kids had never ridden a bike before and it was amazing to see some of them learn how to ride a bike within 30 minutes on the first day of trying! It was great to see the huge smiles and hear their giggles and laughter.
